Few Canadians live a lifestyle congruent with the scarcity of fresh water facing the world today. Billions of people around the globe do not have access to fresh water and the United Nations estimates that by 2025 two out of every three people will live in water-stressed areas. But when the UN stated this March that a global water crisis is looming, it had Canada in mind, too.
"No region will be spared from the impact of this crisis," it warned.
