In their recent pastoral letter on the Christian ecological imperative, the Social Affairs Commission of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops spoke about the fact that Christians who are responding to the ecological crisis are examining biblical and theological resources and forming new ecumenical and interfaith connections.
The bishops indicate that the Christian theological and liturgical traditions affirm what the Bible teaches about the relationship of the earth to God and the need for justice for in all of creation.
