Somebody stole my church and I want it back.
For the longest time I thought it was just me--that I was just some grumpy Vatican II baby who couldn't adapt to change. Or maybe I just had a string of bad luck with parishes. But the more I think about it, the more I've come to the realization that my church has been stolen--right out from under me. And I'm not alone, I've been talking with many dyed-in-the-wool Catholics who are of the same mind. As the pontificate of John Paul II winds down, we need to start getting the message out (to paraphrase Michael Moore) "Dude, where's our church?"
