Swords and sandals are about to burst across our cinema screens over the next year, with a biopic of Alexander the Great, the remake of The 300 Spartans, and no fewer than four films currently in production that will tell the story of Boudicca. But first there is Troy. My Hollywood spies tell me that scripts based on the story of the Trojan war have been circulating around Tinseltown for yonks. No surprise there.
