Fair Haven Beach State Park is one of the state's "hidden gems," according to a national survey.
The park is rated among the top 100 family campgrounds in the nation in a survey released this year by ReserveAmerica, which handles the state's camping reservation system, as well as reservations elsewhere in the United States and in Canada.
The designation is good news for Jack Clancy. Clancy is regional director for the Office of State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation's Finger Lakes District.
