Here's a troubling thought. Suppose it suddenly (or gradually) became impossible to travel internationally with firearms, and your only recourse was to use a borrowed firearm. Would you still want to hunt away from home?
The question is not an idle one, as the obstacles to traveling internationally with firearms are increasing at a rapid rare. Part of the problem is increasing nervousness about guns on the part of airlines and airline employees. But just as problematic is the increasing jumpiness about guns on the part of governments.
Take what happened to Canadian hunters this past year who had hunts booked in Australia. A new U.S. gun import permit ...
