Chad. When I first contemplated hunting there I knew only that it was a poor country, torn by civil war, somewhere in the Sahara. It's spelled, variously, Chad, Tchad, or Tjad.
Consulting a map, I discovered that the country lies south of Libya, west of Sudan, north of the Central African Republic, and east of Niger and Cameroon. Further information on Chad, however, was difficult to come by. I found a grand total of sixty-eight books written in English on various aspects of Chad.
