LORDS and MPs sampled cheeses from North and mid Wales yesterday as part of a new drive to persuade London's shops and restaurants to Buy Welsh.
Scores of Welsh cheeses were put on display at the House of Commons after it was discovered its cafes stocked only one type from outside the South East of England.
And representatives from London landmarks, including Harrods,Selfridges and Fortnum and Mason, were also invited along to the taste challenge.
The event was organised by Plaid Cymru MP for Ceredigion Simon Thomas,in partnership with Cheeses from Wales, a co- operative formed last year.
