When T. S. Eliot wrote that "April is the cruelest month," he certainly didn't have April Fool's Day in mind. But the sometimes cruel pranks played on that day can have significant security ramifications.
Last year, seven men in Sturgis, Michigan, were arrested for posting seemingly threatening letters on the front doors of businesses and schools. The messages were meant as an April Fool's joke about an Internet phenomenon.
