ENID Crook bought her first dairy goat in 1970 because the local milkman didn't deliver a daily pint a to her country smallholding.
Ever since then she's had a life- long love affair with an animal which had been traditionally ignored by commercial farmers in this country.
More people in the world drink goat's milk than cow's milk but in Britain there are just 33,000 registered dairy goats.
As niche dairy markets develop, however, there has been renewed interest in a beast which is easy to keep and produces milk with its own special qualities.
