FARMVILLE, Va., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The Old Dominion Resource Conservation & Development Council based in southside Virginia officially opens the Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail today. Virginia Governor Mark Warner, U.S. Department of Education Civil Rights Advisor Kenneth L. Marcus, Associate Chief of U.S.D.A. Natural Resources Conservation Service Thomas Weber, Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Michael Schewel, and the Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail founder Lacy Ward, Sr. helped launch the trail.
