ST. LOUIS _ Woody Williams needed only 37 games to say, "I told you so."
Only moments after the Cardinals finished starting pitcher Chris Carpenter's 4-0 win over the Florida Marlins, Williams sat at his locker, crossed his arms and smugly recalled predicting great things for his former Toronto Blue Jays teammate who had spent 20 months in pitching dry dock.
"I told everybody what he could do and everyone looked at me like I was crazy. I still remember it," Williams said, even following a reporter to emphasize his point.
