Cerebral palsy (CP), the most common physical in children, (1) represents the most frequent diagnosis of children who receive physical therapy. (2) The severity of limitations in gross motor function among children with CP is highly variable, such that some children with CP walk independently with or without assistive devices, whereas others use battery-powered wheelchairs or are transported by an adult.
