Rare-Earth Servomotors: Not For Every Application
Today there is interest in the advantages of rare-earth AC servomotors, however, they are not right for all applications. In fact, the majority of all applications would best be "productively" served by the more common ceramic magnet servomotor. In the rare-earth/ceramic debate, spec sheets don't tell enough.
