South Florida is at a critical juncture for global trade, on the cusp of great new developments, while facing daunting challenges.
The good news is that Latin America--South Florida's top trade region--is growing again, increasing demand for goods shipped through our ports. Total international merchandise trade for the tri-county area rose 4.4 percent last year, crossing $54 billion--about where we were three years ago.
