Everett McCoy
COTTAGE GROVE - A graveside service will be held May 15 for Everett V. McCoy of Cottage Grove, who died May 11. He was 92.
McCoy was born May 28, 1911, in Cottage Grove, to Lew and Olive Clow McCoy. He married Ionah Krause in Franklin on July 24, 1928. She died Nov. 12, 1995.
He lived his entire life in Cottage Grove. He was a member of a pioneer logging and lumber family. In his early years, he logged with horses and even trained his bull, Buck, to pull logs.
He operated E.V. McCoy Lumber for several years and will be remembered for his work ethic and honesty. He also had a commercial ...
