Most cities map streets; Eugene maps running trails. A local coach brainstormed the waffle-iron sole that gave traction to a little company called Nike. In Track Town U.S.A., you can run manicured tree-bark trails at a brisk 7-minute-mile clip - and get your doors blown off by two kids shooting for the 2004 Olympic Games.
