May 19--The Cheesecake Factory restaurant, one of the most sought-after casual dining chains in the country, plans to open a location in Short Pump Town Center this fall.
The upscale restaurant should be joined by outdoor gear and apparel retailer The Orvis Co. and about a dozen or so other shops and restaurants next year, the mall's developer said.
The chains will take over space where Lord & Taylor was supposed to build a store. Lord & Taylor does not intend to build at Short Pump because the chain is closing dozens of stores to refocus on core ...
