Rhythmic repetition of sights and sounds, slowly shifting forms and rapidly changing scenes will mesmerize exhibition goers at Stay Tuned: Hypnotic Videos by" Contemporary Artists at The Studio: An Alternative Space for Contemporary Art in Armonk Opening on May 1 and continuing through June 27, Stay Tuned will feature the work of 18 artists hand picked by curator Marcy B. Freedman from 150 videos submitted by video artists from around the country.
Presenting a video exhibition has some challenges. Using five monitors with headphones allowing up to four people to immerse themselves in the videos simultaneously, exhibition goers can move from monitor to monitor and ...
