The Sao Paulo state-owned warehouse company Ceagesp (Companhia de Entrepostos e Armazens Gerais de Sao Paulo) has asked the Ministry of Agriculture to be excluded from the national program of privatization, in which it was included by the past government. It has been under the government management since 1997 and mainly negotiates fruit, vegetable and flower in the supplying center in Sao Paulo city and in another ten units in the state.
