May 19--The days of building big boat docks just a few feet from a neighbor's property, cluttering up a lakeshore view, ended with the Orange County Commission's vote on new rules in a meeting that stretched into early today.
A new dock-construction ordinance that limits their size and how close they can be to property lines and provides restrictions on mooring depths is now the law in Orange County, cleaning up what some say were vague regulations.
But many property owners and dock builders complained long and loud that the new regulations are too restrictive. ...
