May 19--For tourists, one of the supposed attractions of the Slovakian capital Bratislava is a statue of a sewer-cleaner emerging from a manhole on the corner of Panska and Rybarska streets.
Whether or not that appeals to personal tastes, there is now another reason for the British to take an interest in the former communist country that joined the European Union this month -- the potential it offers for investors to play the convergence game.
