May 20--MidAmerica St. Louis Airport -- which has seen two airlines fail to succeed there -- still has an opportunity to lure passengers to airline flights, according to a consultant's report to be released today.
The study, performed by Mead and Hunt of Eugene, Ore., said MidAmerica is located in an area that generates 993,982 annual passenger boardings. The report said because of MidAmerica's proximity to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, it is unreasonable to expect all those travelers would use MidAmerica when service returns there.
