Citing his "inability to reacha new and equitable agreement with the city of Madison in a timely manner," the promoter of the Madison Blues Festival has pulled the plug on The event this year.
"The Blues Fest is no more," said Ald. Tim Bruer, whose district includes Olin-Turville Park, the site of the two-day blues fest for the last six years.
The festival had been tentatively scheduled for Aug. 28-29.
Last Coast Productions promoter Ken Adamany issued a statement Tuesday night thanking fans and sponsors and saying, "Our intent is to return next year for a Madison Roots, Rhythm and Blues ...
