Information Access Company has signed their first multi-state Info Trac 2000 Tape lease agreement with a consortium of midwestern library networks. It is the largest network sytem of its kind. The consortium, headed up by the University of Minnesota (Minitex), includes: the Minnesota State University System (MSUS), the Online Dakota Information Network (ODIN), the South Dakota Library Network (SLDN), and the University of Minnesota Libraries Network (LUMINA). The consortium represents some 100 academic, public and government libraries whose patrons, under this agreement, will have online access to three general interest databases for research purposes.
