Throughout its long history, the Javits-Wagner-O'Day (JWOD)
Program has justifiably received praise not only for its contributions toward enriching the lives of Americans with disabilities but also for producing high quality goods and services for the United States Government. Most recently, President George Bush praised "the dedicated efforts" of "Americans with disabilities who are working so hard" to produce materials needed for U.S. troops in the Persian Gulf.
