After setting up wireless labs in 32 universities last year, wireless services leader Smart Communications Inc. (SMART) is targeting at least another 30 schools in 2004.
The labs, which are used as teaching facilities for engineering courses, are part of the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP).
"Not only do we want to expand this program so that we can establish mutually beneficial partnerships with more schools. We also intend to deepen these partnerships through collaborative activities," said Napoleon L. Nazareno, Smart president and CEO.
Smart was able to exceed its original target of 20 schools by 60% just over a year ...
