A total of 22 book reviews appeared in TAS in 2003, compared with 29 in 2002. However, some of the 2003 reviews included more than one book, for a 2003 total of 31 books reviewed in 2003 versus 29 books in 2002. We received an average of about 27 books per year in 2001-2003 that are subsequently accepted for review and designated for TAS--so we have a pretty good completion rate for these book reviews.
In November 2003, we debuted a "brief mention" article that contains capsule reviews of a handful of books. Such articles will appear in most issues. They will mention new editions of textbooks, supplements, career-oriented materials, games/puzzles, and other ...
