Orange France of Paris, France, a subsidiary of British phone maker Orange SA, plans to mass-market GPS navigation services on the Orange France network during second quarter 2004 on smartphones powered by Paris-based Webraska.
According to the company, the Orange GPS navigation kit will enable the phones to provide spoken, traffic-aware, turn-by-turn navigation instructions in real-time across Europe. The kit includes client software provided by Webraska, and the Bluetooth GPS receiver module, Holux GR-230 with SiRFStar II chipset.
