GERARD HOULLIER could not resist aiming a parting shot at Liverpool yesterday, criticising his former employers over their need for a 'quick fix'.
Chief executive Rick Parry brought an end to the Frenchman's sixyear reign by declaring that Liverpool would never be Premiership champions under Houllier.
But the former France coach was aggrieved over the manner of his departure and said: 'I wanted to carry on my job here, but there was a sudden excessive pressure on the board and myself.
