WHAT'S IT LIKE?

Teddington, on the western outskirts of London, is famous for its lock and weir where the tidal Thames ceases its inland flow and the non-tidal river begins. Teddington's tree-lined streets have a quiet air. It is bisected by the railway line. Roads to the east towards the river are more desirable than those on the Fulwell side to the west, which are cheaper.
