Article: Federal Examiners Investigate New Mexico Health Care Groups.

May 24--ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- U.S. Federal Trade Commission staff members are examining health care business practices in Farmington, Alamogordo and Roswell.

They have asked for physician, hospital and health plan records. They have not spelled out exactly what they are looking for. And they did not return numerous phone calls placed by the Journal.

The FTC came to New Mexico a year ago to disband an association of physicians in Carlsbad they said was illegally fixing the price of health care.
