BOSTON _ The Oakland A's returned to the scene of their October horror on Tuesday, and the images that conjured up couldn't have been pleasant. Images of Eric Byrnes not touching home plate, and Eric Chavez making a key throwing error are burned into their memory, if not psyche.
So is this one: A certain small, skinny right-hander sitting dejected in the dugout.
This time, Tim Hudson did not strike that same pose after leaving the pitcher's mound at Fenway Park.
