CHEVRON CHEMICAL DEVELOPS ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE AIRPORT RUNWAY DEICER
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Chevron Chemical Co. has developed and is now marketing an environmentally safe runway deicer for use on airport runways in the United States. This new potassium acetate runway deicer is marketed under the name of Chevron E36 LRD Liquid Runway Deicer.
Although potassium acetate deicers have been used by the military for over a year, they were just cleared Nov. 22 for commercial airside use by the Federal Aviation Administration.
