Jazz music lives on as Jewelmer International Corporation together with Air France present the 2nd Manila Jazz Festival as part of the annual French Spring in Manila celebrations.
Catch the performances of Saxoforo, Subconcept and the UP Latin Jazz Ensemble on June 5 and the Jewelmer Jazz Band, Brass Munkeys, and Affinity on June 10.
Saxoforo, the first all saxophone group in the country, was formed by Mike Guevarra in the University of the Philippines in June 2003.
Guevarra, a teacher at the UP college of music and a rising sax player, says the group was organized for the simple reason that they love and enjoy playing together.
