There's a fur-raising turf war waging in a lush little pocket of Apple Valley.
At the helm of one group is Ursula, a 14-year-old matriarch who knows how to harness her rambunctious quartet of acolytes. Their foes? Seventeen-year-old self-assured Dorothy and Sagittarius, the preteen hanger-on.
In the vein of territorial tiffs before them, there's prime real estate at stake - a towering blonde mammoth of a log perfect for early morning sun baths, a mid-afternoon spooning session or a restful siesta.
