It's a parent's nightmare.
Your child is riding a school bus on a field trip. The bus approaches a railroad crossing.
The lights flash. The bells sound. The gate descends. And the bus rolls through the intersection.
The scenario played out recently in Itasca, where some local parents contend a bus driver's mistake endangered their children's lives.
No one was injured. Still, the parents are angry the bus driver hasn't lost his job. They say Itasca Elementary District 10 administrators should have done more to push the issue.
