2004 MAY 31 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- The State of California, Department of Consumer Affairs, has awarded MAXIMUS (MMS) a 5-year, $8.7 million contract to manage a chemical dependency and mental illness monitoring and referral program for more than 700 healthcare professionals regulated by the state boards and committees.
The Department of Consumer Affairs' diversion program is a statewide, and confidential, monitoring and referral program. Participation in the diversion program may either be on a voluntary or mandatory basis.
