NEW YORK -- Worsted fabrics will stress light weights, high-twist yarns and more twill weaves for spring 1993 tailored clothing.
Smooth, flat, lightweight fabrics are the paramount fashion point for the season, fabric executives say. And, some weavers are going still lighter in weight than they were for spring 1992.
Meanwhile, the high-twist worsted yarns, sometimes called crepe-twist, will be an important tool in creating lighter weights and in lending character and performance to fabrics.
And fabric stylists say there will be many fancy patterns in three-harness goods including small, subtle effects.
