Women's groups in India, including HealthWatch Uttar Pradesh, announced a campaign for monitoring State accountability to ensure equal rights for women in Uttar Pradesh, India. The campaign, Complete Citizen, Total Rights, drew from earlier efforts by women and human rights organisations to demand accountability from the State on the basis of constitutional obligations to protect, promote and fulfil women's rights. The campaign used primary evidence from women survivors and secondary data from state sources to prove that the government had failed in upholding the Constitution and its obligations in the areas of maternal mortality, violence against women, coercive ...
