China - Malaysia petroleum steel pipe project opens for business
Shanghai. May 31. INTERFAX-CHINA - Shanghai BSW Petroleum Steel Pipe Co. Ltd. (BSW), a joint venture invested by China and Malaysia, located in the Yuepu Industry Park at Shanghai, recently finished constructions with Mr. Badawi, the prime minister of Malaysia, joining the opening ceremony yesterday.
BSW, with invested RMB 158 mln (USD 19 mln) by Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co. Ltd. (Baoji), is a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, who holds a 51% stake while Malaysia UMW Group (UMW) holds the remaining 49% stake. The company will mainly produce welded tubes for oil and gas ...
