POLICEMAN told me last week about a phenomenon called vertical drinking. It entails going into a pub, not sitting down for several hours, drinking yourself into oblivion and then fighting in the street outside.
Many of you may not be familiar with the expression or the rules of engagement.
But you will certainly be alltoo-familiar with the results.
