THIRTY years ago, it was just the little tablet you took for a headache.

Now, barely a month goes by without scientists revealing that aspirin, fast emerging as the wonder drug of the 21st century, has proved effective against yet another disease.

As revealed in the Mail last week, scientists from Columbia University in New York have confirmed that an aspirin a day can dramatically reduce the chances of a woman developing breast cancer.
