MILWAUKEE -- News flash: The Milwaukee Brewers still can't hit. Confirmation came Sunday afternoon at Miller Park when they made San Diego starter Ismael Valdez look good.
Those who have followed the Brewers' offensive woes through the conclusion of the homestand know just how much they have struggled at the plate. What was remarkable was that Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Padres left the Brewers with a split of their six-game set against the Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers, the two best teams in the National League West.
