The Argentinean home-appliance retail sector expects to double overall turnover to Pesos$3,000mil in 2004, helped by the expansion of consumer credit operations and the consumers' need to renew old appliances. The sector's main players have plans to open a total of 51 new outlets in the country in 2004, in a move that will allow them to recover revenue lost in 2002, when, due to the deep economic crisis, they were forced to close outlets.
