When it comes to exhibitions about ancient Greece and especially with the new movie "Troy" just out, we tend to think of warriors, kings and goddesses.
A new show at the Cincinnati Art Museum, though, now being presented through Aug. 1, focuses on the rarely addressed subject of children in this classical culture.
"Coming of Age in Ancient Greece: Images of Childhood from the Classical Past" is filled with pottery, figurines, statues, facades from tombs and, most delightfully of all, toys. It was organized by the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H.
