Kolkata, Jun 2 (PTI) In one of the rarest celestial events, transit of Venus over the disc of the Sun is poised to take place after a gap of 122 years on June eight, and it will be visible from all over India.
Positional Astronomy Centre Director B K Mondal said on Wednesday that the last such transit of Venus occurred on December six, 1882, while the next such phenomenon would take place on June six, 2012.
