The state keeps no comprehensive registry of concealed-weapons permit holders.
There is a partial list of permit holders, but state law doesn't require sheriffs to submit information to it. Currently, 31 of the 64 counties enter names of permit holders to the Colorado Crime Information Center.
The list helps sheriffs find out if a permit holder is doing something dangerous, said George Epp, executive director of the County Sheriffs of Colorado.
