The land that gave us treasures like the Barra MacNeils and The Rankins also offers up Leahy, a collage of eight Lakefield, Ontario brothers and sisters who cumulatively have won Junos wowed audiences and opened shows for Shania Twain. For those not yet familiar with Leahy--an ever-dwindling number--think Capercaillie crossed with high voltage wires plus a few amps of "new country." Their forte is mixing Celtic tunes with contemporary songs.
