Jun. 3--Can the Spartan environment of fast food coexist with upscale, old-world ambiance?
The two concepts seem at odds, but a Tulsa fast-food franchisee believes his sandwich shop can thrive in one of Tulsa's trendier shopping and dining districts.
Subway restaurant owner John McCoy has always believed that charming, historic Cherry Street, best known for its antique stores and eateries, would be a perfect site for a Subway.
One of his, anyway.
"I've been trying to get on Cherry Street for years," said McCoy, who owns five other area Subways.
